Rooibos, (pronounced "roy bus") meaning red bush, grows in a small region of the Western Cape Provence in South Africa. In South Africa, it is common to drink rooibos tea with a slice of lemon and sugar or honey to sweeten. The flavor of rooibos tea is often described as being naturally sweet (without sugar added) and slightly nutty. Rooibos tea is a reddish brown color, explaining why rooibos is sometimes referred to as "red tea". Naturally caffeine free and high in antioxidants, this tea is repudiated to have a soothing affect on the central nervous system.
